PRIEST is a London based Contemporary street artist from New Zealand, working across painting and installation. His satirical style contrasts playful imagery with dark subject matters.  Toys, cartoons and video games  feature heavily in PRIEST’s practice, emphasizing the element of play that’s central to his approach.

PAPER CUT is an installation created by PRIEST -at Saatchi Gallery from the 04/12/2025 to the 18/01/2026- . The installation reimagines childhood play as social archaeology, exposing the city’s hidden layers of class, chaos, and imitation. Beneath the colour lies London itself: the housing crisis, youth violence, influencer culture, and the weary humour of modern life.

Black Mirror will explore art’s role in social satire, and how political uncertainty has influenced art of recent years. Using media such as collage, caricatures, photography and installation, the exhibition shows how satire can provide both light relief as well as unsettling commentary on the tumultuous, divisive climate of modern-day politics.

Black Mirror features some of the world’s most exciting contemporary artists making work about the world we live in, exposing anxieties our modern obsessions create. Artists featured include Turner prize nominee Richard Billingham, whose photography series of his parents Ray’s A Laugh pioneered “squalid realism” as he confronted the art world with the reality of poverty; Polish artist Aleksandra Mir who parodies newspapers by crudely drawing them with childlike tools – bringing new meaning to “fake news”; and Chilean sculptor Alejandra Prieto, who transforms rejected lumps of coal into a beautiful, desirable object of opulence, confronting class disparity and the commodification of luxury over function.

At a time of collective unease, Black Mirror emphasises the importance of art and satire in dissecting power structures, questioning societal norms, and visualising political unrest, providing light relief to life’s uncertainties.

Pangaea II: New Art From Africa and Latin America features the work of 18 emerging artists who provide an expansive insight into the work being produced against the backdrop of present day complexities in their respective homelands.

Witnesses to the transformation of their societies, the artists working in these two distinctive regions are increasingly based within cities that are changing at an unprecedented rate. Their work employs a hybrid of traditional and contemporary techniques and materials, reflecting on social and political issues faced during this period of rapid urban and economic expansion.

Including sculpture, painting, installation and photography, Pangaea II: New Art From Africa and Latin America explores the diverse cultural influences and thriving creative practices in the two great continents that were once conjoined.

Taking its title from the prehistoric landmass that conjoined Africa and America, this major survey reunites the two former sister continents by bringing together the work of their contemporary artists.

The exhibition celebrates and explores the parallels between their distinctly diverse cultures and creative practices, as they begin to receive recognition in the increasingly globalised art world.

Champagne Life celebrates the work of a constellation of female artists, and provides a rare and apposite moment to reflect on what it means to be a female artist working today.

Champagne Life suggests high living, prestige and affluence, qualities that have led to champagne’s appropriation into Hip-Hop culture as an indicator of success when artists transition from economically depressed ghetto to uptown highlife.

Applied here to an exhibition bringing together the work of 14 emerging women artists, the irony of the title is palpable and throws into contrast the reality of many long, cold, lonely hours working in the studio with the perceived glamour of the art world.

Known Unknowns showcases an international selection of 17 contemporary artists from the Saatchi Gallery’s collection. The exhibition explores a myriad of themes that are relevant to contemporary life, such as the daily onslaught of images, representation of the human body in the internet age and the ethics of viewing versus voyeurism.

These artists are not afraid to explore new media in thought-provoking ways, and each pursues a highly individualised practice. They are a seemingly disparate group, yet together reflect the diversity and breadth of contemporary art in a globalised and increasingly digital age.

While Known Unknowns does not offer an obvious unifying theme or ideological point of view, it presents its audience with a group of artists that are worthy of wider exposure.

KALEIDOSCOPE was an exhibition featuring the work of 9 international contemporary artists working across a variety of mediums, including Laura Buckley’s interactive large-scale kaleidoscope Fata Morgana.

It examined the distortion of human perception, moving from normal domestic spaces, to turbulent nautical vistas and eventually complete abstraction. From the disruptive work of Mia Feuer, who addresses the post-natural landscape and our effect on it, to Pierre Carreau’s emotionally charged depictions of waves, the diverse media on display form a kaleidoscopic representation of the world, revealing a constantly changing sequence of elements and mediums.

The exhibition presented an exciting mixture of contemporary artists from around the world. Other featured artists include Tillman Kaiser whose dynamic paintings and sculptural works are meditations of history, style and form; Whitney Bedford whose tempestuous seascapes act as motifs for connecting the past and the present, and the young painter Florence Hutchings who presented a series of vivid still-life paintings inspired by everyday life.
