As the Scafolk book explains of the Don’t campaign, ‘Because ‘doing’ is a morally and politically ambiguous activity the council decided to take control and enforced ‘not doing’ until they could clarify and ratify only positive, socially acceptable expressions of ‘doing’.’

At the end of September 2018, Prime Minister Theresa May announced a Festival of Great Britain and Northern Ireland will take place in 2022. We are sure that every right-thinking human will wish to publicise and celebrate this forthcoming event. The esteemed Mr Littler, creator of Scarfolk,  has created a poster that encapsulates the excitement generated by the plans of this Conservative government.

This print was inspired by the poster created by Abram Games for the Festival of Britain in 1951. In recognition of his pioneering designwork a proportion of each sale will go to the estate of Abram Games.

If you live in the UK or the EU then, unfortunately, another proportion of the price goes to the UK government in the form of VAT…which will be an ironic Brexit dividend for the Treasury.
